Experiencing struggle can be a very normative part of growth. Discomfort or dissatisfaction is a sign that something may need to change. As a clinical psychologist, I understand that issues can arise from a number of factors: family or marital conflict, developmental issues, mental illness, work or school stress, identity crisis, organizational dysfunction, a tendency to have pessimistic thinking, you name it! As a scientist-practitioner, I help understand the origins of the problem (including identification of strengths), increase awareness and appreciation for how things operate in your life, and work with you to collaboratively devise a plan to enhance the good and minimize the bad.
Clinical services can range from informal assessment and routine psychotherapy to formal psychological testing for diagnostic clarity and more intensive family-based intervention. I work with individuals of all ages experiencing an array of stressors. I am available to consult with other health care providers (psychiatrists, neurologists, etc.) to provide continuity of care. I also work with organizations to impart training on various mental health initiatives (see “Educational Services”).
Clinical Services include:
- Informal/Initial Assessment
- Individual, Family, or Couples Psychotherapy
- Consultation
- Psychological Testing
